Mathieson's, in the specialty cake business since 1988, brings to each project the perfect blending of gourmet expertise and an understanding of the unique vision of each of its clients. The result is the creation of truly unique cakes that compliment any occasion, from the most formal wedding to a one-of-a-kind birthday celebration.

Mathieson's cakes are created from only the finest ingredients, from local farm fruits and organic milled grains to decadent Belgian chocolates. We pride ourselves in creating signature cakes featuring finely crafted designs and recipes. We're also known for creating scrumptious cakes from familiar family favorites. The designs, flavors and special touches of our cakes are too numerous to count. They are as unique as the individuals we create them for.

Formally trained at New York's French Culinary Institute and the C.I.A. (Culinary Institute of America) at Greystone, Heidi Mathieson's pastry chef credits encompass some of the country's most renown restaurants. These include New York's Arizona 206, San Francisco's Square One and Santa Barbara's El Encanto. She then brought her skill and expertise to California's Central Coast, creating original cakes and desserts at Ian's restaurant and the original opening of the French Corner Bakery.
